December 10th

Okay, today, not-so-busy, but still full! Our activity from yesterday was mosaic wreaths (basically paper plate wreaths glued with torn chunks of green and red construction paper and topped with a bow) and our craft for today was to hand print a clear ornament (to be used for a Christmas activity on Monday).  Our activity today was to make a specialty hot chocolate so we chose Tarragon and Black Pepper Hot Chocolate-it was spicy but I enjoyed it and we read two more chapters of The Return of Light and learned about Christmas in The Netherlands.

Our mosaic craft.  Oh glue...how messy.
Yes, I did Carver's, but he like trying to destroy it!
 Hot chocolate recipe.
Microwaving our ganache so it can steep while we do our second craft and get into p.j.'s.
There's really no reason, just that he's cute!
I actually like Landon's idea of not entirely covering the whole thing...I think it looks pretty cool.
 Landon loves hand painting!
Look at Carver's face! He actually did enjoy it, I swear!
Straining our ganache into the chocolate.
Landon, said 'good and spicy!' and drank a little before the spicy-ness caught up to him! Then it was too hot.

Same with Carver.  But they gave it a good attempt!
