Okay, this is for all you women who experience discomfort during your period. I have some quick, simple remedies for making you feel a little more comfortable.
1. Avoid drinks and foods which contain caffeine (coffee, pop, chocolate)
2. Rest as much as possible and keep a warm hot water bottle on your stomach and small of the back.
3. Learn some relaxation techniques....deep breathing is good for relaxation.
4. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Walk, run, whatever feels comfortable to you. This helps to relieve pain and increase circulation.
Finally, there are some NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory Drugs) that can help ease the pain: Aspirin and Ibuprofen are the best. Avoid Tylenol.
The last thing is to keep a positive attitude; Have a happy period!
