Yes, holidays are an amazing time in our household! And All Hallows Eve is no exception! Dave specifically took off holidays so we could really pay attention to this week! It's been great! On Monday we took the kids to an actual 'Haunted Mansion' in Swan and it was pretty good.  Landon loved it, and Dave and I snuck in to see the 'scary' side.  It was well done and there were awesome treats and snacks for the kids for a great price.  Then, we concentrated on carving jack-o-lanterns (we did six this year and displayed them in the window), working on costumes, and doing kids crafts and baking.  We did skeleton gingerbread men and chocolate, Halloween shaped cookies.  The kids also enjoyed a play group Halloween party on Monday morning and we arranged for some awesome themed and healthy treats all day today! We started our morning with Halloween presents and breakfast and then dressed up so we could drive out to Great Grandma for early Trick-or-Treat and lunch.  Then, home for nap and snacks before the really candy hunt began! The kids loved dressing up and the day was amazingly warm and beautiful for walking around town.  After we hit all the houses on our list, we came home for pizza fingers and 'candy corn' parfaits before seeing the 'haunted' library for a tour! It was great.  Now, Dave and I are settled down watching 'Trick or Treat' and enjoying the last official hour of Halloween.

That's Right...It's the Big Day!

So, today I turn 28.  As my friend Shauna fears, thirty is sneaking up on me.  But, I'm not worried.  I'm excited! I've done everything I could possibly have dreamed of in the last little while.  I've met and married the most wonderful man and we've had two beautiful boys.  I bought my first home, had some amazing jobs, met some great people along the way and published my first novel.  I am very lucky and blessed and am very thrilled to experience the next 28 years!

Feet Rescue 911

Okay...started feet repair (before and after to come in a week or two).  I had a nice hot bath and did a bit of a foot scrub before I got out and soaked them even longer in a foot bath with Listerine and vinegar (yes, it does work).  After that, I pummus-ed them as much as I could before doing a home paraffin wrap followed by a good dousing of lotion. My plan for upkeep and continual improvement is to foot scrub every morning in the shower and apply lotion morning and night. We'll see how they are in two weeks.  Hopefully, as lovely as ever.  Night.

The 'new' First Post

Well, as much as I love my blog (www.100waystofabulous.blogspot.com ), it’s time to up the ante.  This website lets me give you access to a lot more and I’m loving the layout! So, my first entry is basically to say ‘hi’ and lay a little foundation about what I want to be talking about for the next few weeks.  Firstly, I have to admit something...as much as I’m in love with spending the day with my kids, I’m getting a little stir crazy, especially with this dull weather so my goal for the next month or two is to get a little more social; have friends over for dinner, go out, maybe hit the bowling alley, and I’m starting a book club in November (by the way, if you’re interested, let me know).  Also, I used to spend time pampering myself and keeping myself super groomed, but, even though I’m clean and presentable, I don’t take that much personal time.  So, I’m starting from the bottom up starting with...feet.  My feet get dry in hard water and really bad in winter, so Wednesday I’m going to get started on Feet Rescue 911.
